About- This beautiful and delicious allium variety has tasty thick leaves, similar to chives, that taste like onions with a hint of garlic. Produces unique lavender-colored ¾” round blooms that attract and feed pollinators!
Planting- Start seeds 6-8 weeks before the last frost or direct sow after the last frost in the spring. Takes 7-14 days to germinate. Once established this perennial is mostly self-sustaining but may not flower until summer of the second season.
Care & Harvest- Fertilize with sulfur for best results. Harvest leaves continually from late spring through early September. Flowers can last up to 3 weeks in a vase if used as a cut flower!
